Ok so the reason why I haven't updated my blog pretty much since the day it was created is because it has been crazy busy at the office and with work because of the 2008 Jazzy Jeff Tour. The tour it self kicked off in Vancouver on October 16th and touched down in Ontario (Toronto) on the 26th.
I worked at Republik Saturday night as usual...got home and finally to bed by 6am...was up again due to a work related issue at 9:30 am...was unable to fall back asleep...got out of of bed finally at noon...head to the airport, picked Jeff and crew up...took Darnell to soundcheck for 6:00pm. (Did I mention that I woke up with a killer soar throat on Sunday and felt like total shit...Cold FX...it works) Went to eat dinner around 7:30ish (first time eating for the day) Got ready, got them to the club for midnight...ran around like mad woman...got to bed for like 5:30am...was at work for 10am...got off at 6pm...had to meet up with someone...made it home for like 8...left the house for 9...drove to London...Jeff show in London was crazy rammed...the crowd actually started chanting his name...never seen anything like it. This one dude...stood in front of the DJ booth THE WHOLE TIME...now if anyone has been to a Jeff show will know...his set is for 2 hours....dude stood there the whole time. It was great! Made it home for 5am...was back at work at 10...then took Jeff by Livestock...that was like taking a kid to a candy store...so we were there for a good hour...then went to eat...then had to take care of some stuff...got to bed for 4:30am and was back at work for 10...when I got home Wednesday at 7pm...I slept for 14 hours straight...
Dude...I have never been soooo tired before in my life. I was avg. 4 hours sleep and 1 meal a day for 4 days straight...never been so burnt out before...I felt like Death...and prob looked it too...friend of mind mentioned that it was a good time of year to look and feel like Death with Halloween just around the corner. LOL
Was all rested for the Mississauga show on Thursday. Its amazing how every market is so different. Compairing the Sunday Toronto show, to Monday London show and then the Thursday Mississauga show was nuts. The crowd...his fan base is definitely HUGE and of all kinds. He played out in Sudbury on Wednesday...heard the show was CRAZY!!! He's off to Barrie tonight, Montreal Saturday, Ottawa Sunday, Kinsgton Monday and the final last show is in Niagara Falls on Tuesday. The total tour was 15 dates. Took a lot of planning to put it together but we did it...and the tour (knock on wood) went very smoothly. =D Can't even explain how happy that makes me. We just kicked off on Sunday another cross Canada tour for Doug Reinhardt from the Hills and next Wednesday kick of a west coast Jabbawockeez tour. Its CRAZY busy at the office. So I will try to blog as often as I can.
For those of you who are up for a drive on Tuesday...check out the Niagara Falls show at Dragonfly...you won't be disappointed.
